A Sunday Off
Chris doesn't get many Sundays off, and if he does it's usually because he requested for it off way in advanced. I'ts kinda a bummer since I always have the weekends off, but I understand since he works at an ice cream store and the weekends are the busiest time of the week. But this past Sunday he got off to go to National Trails. It's a drag strip where ppl can come and race their cars legally. He had been before but I had not. So he asked me if I wanted to go along even though he wasn't sure if I would like it. Well I went and I honestly enjoyed myself! Chris was so excited and I love seeing him like that lol. Everytime he saw something he liked he would either point or go check it out then start telling me all about it lol. Of course half the time I had no idea what he was talking about. But I still enjoyed being a part of it and was gratefull for him taking the time to explain certain things to me and answering all of the questions I had lol. There were all types of cars and trucks there. From dragsters and muscle cars to cars you would see everyday driving down the road. There were even junior dragsters who are like teenage kids driving a smaller version of the adults. It was pretty cool seeing what times ppl could run. Someome that Chris knew ran his car twice so we watched him run while Chris made his guess what time the car would run lol. Of course he pretty much was right lol, but what else is new? The weather was wonderful I loved it. But we both got a little more sun than we thought we would...we were burnt. My face and chest are so red! And to top it off I have the whole raccoon eyes thing goin on since I wore my sun glasses the whole day lol. I look pretty ridiculous lol. We were there from around 10:45am to 3:45pm. After we left there we had to drive all the way up to Mansfield to meet some guys for Chris. We didn't get back home until around 8pm, and by then we were both pretty exhausted. But I really enjoyed spending the day with Chris on his Sunday off.

Sounds like a long day in the sun! My family would always go to the Nights Under Fire(or something like that) at National Trails. I loved it! It it cool watching the cars race. My favorites would be the ones with jet engines. Those were cool! I always find it fun spending time with the one you love even if you may not enjoy the activity as much as they do!
