Home Sweet Home

Thanksgiving at the Enright house was as usual, yelling, screaming, arguing, competing, late night cards and of course there is all the farting! Uuugh!!! But I loved every bit of it,my mom was with us as well which I also really enjoyed. Chris and I were pretty home sick so we were excited to see everyone. All the kids are getting so big, it's scary!
Chris and I are just looking fro jobs till we can move to Pennsylvania... more on that later.

Back to School

I started Chaffey College about three weeks ago and I really like it so far. It's less than ten minutes away from the house and the campus is super nice, I will have to post a picture of it sometime. It's actually a brand new campus so it's not even finished yet, well the main building is done but not the rest. Class is good and I love the freedom that we have, not like high school where you have such a restricted schedule, plus I don't have class every day of the week . So definitely loving that! I'm actually taking a hybrid class, which is mostly online. I do meet with the professor once a week, but the rest of the work is through a site online that he created. So allhis lectures are on a cd along with his powerpoint presentation for all the lectures, so the good thing about that is I can read his lectures on my time. All of the tests are online as well so that's pretty cool, but since they are open book open note they are pretty hard. I can take the tests over as many times as I want till the end of the semester, but the last test I take is the score I get so if I do the worst the last time I take it that's the score I get. Chris is still doing really well at UTI and yes he is still getting up on his own!

Look Out!!

Yup, this is what I am drivin around these days. A 2008 fully loaded Suburban with a sun roof, navigation system, automatic start-up and even On Star. Which is only a couple steps up from my 1994 2 door honda civic...minus the bra lol. Anyways, the "Suburbia" as Chris and the guys call it, is huge! When my dad first told me to drive it I was like "there is absolutely no way I will be able to drive that thing!" I was afraid I would hit someone taking a sharp turn or something, my depth perception is not really what you would call "good" you can ask Chris on that one lol. I mean the thing is a bus! But my dad reassured me that I would be fine. The first time I drove it on a main street my dad made me drive with Chris in the passenger seat (not a good idea) and my dad in the back. I didn't know where I was going, my dad was on the phone with somebody, telling me "left! left! right! right! straight, turn! turn!" Chris was trying to be helpful, but not. He was saying "watch my side! you're too close over here! pay attention!" I felt like I was in a war zone and I was driving the death machine. It was awful. I mean I am not saying that I was driving well, but all the crazy directions and dictating didn't help either. The more I drive it though the more comfortable and confident I am with driving around a bus lol. The A.C. is amazing, got to love the back up camera, oh and it even believes in short ppl. I have never tried it cuz I just move the seat all the way up, but the pedals actually come forward! Pretty cool I thought. It's kind of a climb for me to get in and out of and you will still find my leopard pillow on the driver's seat, but hey at least I will never get lost in it lol. So if you happen to be driving around Chino CA and you can barely see a driver in a car that looks like this just a warning... LOOK OUT!!

First Day of School

Today was Chris' first day as a college student. He had the previlage to be woken up by his 5:15am alarm, and get ready for SCHOOL! His classes start at 6:00am so he has to be up bright and early. If you have ever had to wake up Chris or be around him as soon as he wakes up, you understand why this is such a big deal lol. Let's just say Chris is not a morning person. But I was proud of him this morning when that alarm went off and I didn't have to say a word to him to get up. He got up and got ready, and was on his way. I didn't take any pictures of him in his UTI shirt because I wasn't about to get up at 5:15am to take a picture. Sorry, but I need my beauty rest! lol I am a VERY light sleeper, so I am awake when Chris is awake, but I will admit that I was trying to go back to sleep. Since I haven't had to get up early in a long time, my body is used to going to bed late and then sleeping in, so I was not up to par on my getting up early ability. Anyways, Chris had a good first day, he already met some pretty cool guys and even got their digits lol, but that's Chris. Got to love him. The first couple of days are like orientation I guess, so it's nothing crazy yet. He did get his HUGE book and a binder but that's about it. I hope we can keep Chris getting up on his own but we will see. We love and miss you guys!!

It's Like Magic!

One thing I really don't like to clean is a greasy stovetop...yuck. You know it's really hard to get clean since the spill-overs have been all cooked onto the stove and stuff. Even if you try to catch it before it gets too hot, it seems like I'm never fast enough. I have tried other products before but none of them have really done the job as good as I would have liked. So I went to the store and decided I would try to find something. I grabbed those "magic erasers" from Mr. Clean (they were like 2 bucks and I figured I could at least try them out. Plus they had a fabreze scent! I don't like when I clean the kitchen and then it smells like strong cleaning products. I dunno I guess I'm weird I just don't like to smell that when I'm cooking or eating. I really like the way fabreze smells since it smells more like an air freshioner rather than a toilet cleaner(if you know what I mean.) Anyways, I cleaned the stove with one of the erasers and it was like MAGIC! I'm tellin you, when I was done I was so excited to see such a clean stovetop lol. And the kitchen smelled like fresh meadows and rain lol. It says it'ssafe to use on furniture tops, so I think I'm going to try it out on the girls desks... they get a little marker happy sometimes. I will let you know how that turns out! Sorry I don't have before and after pictures, I ddin't think about posting about it until I was done. I can try and remember for next time lol.

Showdown!!

Since I am not working very much right now (cuz Charlotte Russe is dumb) I am watching the girls during the day mon-fri. It's summer so the girls want to practicley sleep in their bathing suits lol. Yesterday late afternoon, they came downstairs with their suits on and begged me to let them get wet with water balloons. I said yes as long as I was the water balloon filler. They agreed and we headed out. It was probably around 4:00pm and it was still blazing hot outside, so the girls couldn't wait to get their hands on those balloons. Plus they are two very competitive little girls, so the thought of blasting the other sister with a water balloon was just overwelming! They were getting a little impatient while we were filling up the balloons, but I knew that would happen. When we were done filling, each girl got to pick 10 balloons of their choice as their amo. Karina picked one big one and all the rest were small ones (better grip she said), Priscilla on the other hand wanted the biggest ones she could get (bigger splash I guess, who knows with her). How funny the difference in the two choices... I just thought it was funny. Anyways, I was thinking they were going to try and run from eachother, you know, dodging the balloons as much as possible. Nope not Karina and Priscilla. I came back outside from getting my camera in the house, and the two were standing facing eachother about 10 ft apart balloons in hand ready to go! lol I was like "omg this is like an old western shootout! Except for instead of old cowboys with long pants, cowboy boots and guns, it was little girls in bikinis bare foot with water balloons!! I started cracking up! I love those girls lol. So after the showdown they still felt the erge to be wet... that was a surprise, so I let them get eachother with the water hose for a little bit. They had fun with that too, then their feet started to get pretty muddy so we agreed we should call it a day with the water. All in all it was a lot of fun cooling off with the girls yesterday.
Karina gets her first throw in... and that girl has pretty good aim too.
This would be Priscilla's surprised/excited face. I get to see it quite often. It makes me giggle.
This was probably Priscilla's best throw of the day. I think maybe all but 3 or 4 completely missed Karina and popped on the grass lol. (I remind you they were standing right in front of eachother the whole time)
She does have a good arm on her though lol.

Even Harper wanted some fun with the balloons.

Easy target I guess lol.

Chris the Photogropher!!

Chris has decided that he likes to take random pictures lately. So I was going through the camera the other day and found a bunch of his snapshots. I thought I would share them, even though most of them are of me, and I might add not very flattering lol. Here he is getting creative with his car. I love how you can see him in the picture lol

This picture came out like this on accident, but Chris thought he was just amazing for getting it. It is a pretty cool pic lol.

This is from the Grand Canyon trail. There is supposed to be a lizard in there somewhere but I can't see it, maybe someone else can.

Matt on the road trip...random I know lol.

We were at Chili's for lunch. I wasn't in a very good mood, he must have been trying to get me to smile.

This is a trail at the Grand Canyon and I was feeling pretty crappy(like it's not obviously), but Chris was insistant that he needed a picture me under the rock archway. It was cool but I could have done without me in the picture.

Yes, Chris got me sleeping. This was when I first started feeling cruddy on the road trip, and took a nap.

Here I am reading a book minding my own buisness, and Chris took a picture... again very random.

And of course the bad hair day. He had to do it. This was a get up shower and go morning on the road trip lol.

Savannah in the Spotlight

Last week Savannah(the oldest of the three girls-going to be 12 on July 12th) graduated from the sixth grade. She is moving onto the junior high next year, woohoo! I guess in California the schools have a graduation ceremony when they go from elementary to middle school, from middle school to junior high, from junior high to high school and then of course from high school. I think it's a little much but whatever. So anyways we all went to her graduation ceremony which Chris tried to get pictures of but for some reason they just didn't turn out. But we did get some pictures after the ceremony. That weekend Savannah and her best friend Domo wanted to have a graduation party. It was a Hawaiian themed pool party at Domo's house. It was really cute. There was pizza, nachos and they even had cups that were halves of coconuts with little umbrellas lol. Good thing it was a pool party because I think it was like 106 degrees that day. It was hot. So after the pool party all the kids wanted to go to this place called Skate Express. It is a skating rink that is like the "hang out" for kids Savannah's age. Sonia, Dad, Karina, Priscilla, Savannah, her friend Domo and her parents plus a few of the kids from the party all went skating. I guess my dad busted his butt a couple of times and Sonia chickened out when she saw the rink lol. So she just watched and supervised lol. I think Savannah had a fun time, so I say it was a success. Here is Savannah and her friend Domo after the graduation ceremony.

Savannah and her friends are cooling off in the pool.

Priscilla(left) and Karina(right) are eating some nachos. The cheese was a little spicy so they kept making that sucking in air noise when you eat something hot lol. But they insisted that they could finish their nachos lol. Got to love those girls!
Check out thse cool guys rockin their super sweet shades lol.

Cali Update!

Well it's definately sunny here, but along with the sunnyness comes the heat. Yea driving around in Chris's car is not very pleasant let me tell you. Dark interior, parking in the sun, no ac and driving around in 90 degree weather... not my style. But we are looking to find a car for me... with ac lol. We found one we really liked so we are trying to figure out all that. But man insurance is expensive out here!! So we are just trying to figure it out. Anyways, Chris got a job he actually found out he got it today so that eased his mind a bit, he was getting a little agitated since the process is such a long one. He got the assistant manager position at a gamestop about 20min away from our house. So that's good. I turned in a ton of applications last week so if I don't start getting any calls soon I am going to start calling them. Right now that's pretty much are biggest concern, we do pick-up my youngest sister Priscilla Mon-Thursat 11:30am and then feed her lunch. She hangs out with us most of the afternoons wherever we go... I think she likes it. I try and keep up on the dishes, trash and the girls around the house to help out. We have been the 24/hr babysitters for Dad and Sonia but I don't think they mind lol. We have been doing little cook-outs at my Dad's friends' house(Mario and Tammy.) That's been pretty cool too they have a pool which is nice. So hopefully I can get a job and a car soon! I will try to keep everyone posted, we love and miss everybody!!

This picture and the one above is Mario and Tammy's house. I like this picture because of all the palm trees!

This is Mario's truck. There are so many people driving around with these huge trucks out here. Personally, I think it's a little ridiculous. But everybody loves them! We even see women driving these things. I dunno how they afford the gas. Anyways, just thought I would give you guys a liitle taste of what we see everyday lol.

Grand Canyon

Here is a pretty killer lookin cactus. I thought that it looked like it had strwberries on top lol.

Here is a picture of Matt who walked right passed this sign trying to get a better picture of one of those birds. And of you can't tell the pucture in the middle of the sign is a person falling off the side of a cliff. I thought this was pretty funny.

The red warning sign was saying that you should not try to walk all the way down and back up the canyon in one day since there was such a chance of dehydration.

On our way to California we went to the Grand Canyon since none of us had ever seen it and it was on the way... well kind of. So we stopped there and man was it hot! Well I guess it wasn't that bad but I wasn't really feeling that great. We were all passing our germs around to each other the whole week from being in that car for such a long time, so Matt passed his stuffy nose and sore throat to me. My body was all confused, Chris kept saying I felt warm but I felt like I needed my hoody on then I got hot then I got cold again... I was just all messed up that day. Anyways, we walked on a path that went around part of the rim of the canyon. It was pretty neat to see it in person and to see how big it was. The rock was really red, it was really sandy and dry but then there were like trees and bushes everywhere? Quite interesting lol. But I guess God Knows where everything belongs so it doesn't matter if I think it's strange lol. I guess Chris was reading a pamphlet and read something about these birds called condors that had up to a 9ft wing span. So of course the guys had to see that. We went to another area of the canyon to where these birds were supposed be and we ended up seeing a few. Matt said that they looked like really big vultures, I thought so too. I enjoyed the experience I just wished I felt better that day.

What in the World?!!

Ok this is really weird. The last post that I did will not show up on the blog that I pull up on my computer and I have know idea why! It's driving me nuts! I think other ppl can see it but I can't, I know it doesn't really matter cuz I can still go into edit posts and see my comments. But it just irritates me lol. So if this has happened to anyone and know how to fix it or has any ideas to fix it let me know please!!

We Made It!

Here we are in the mountains, it was pretty chilly that first day.
Rocky Mountains

This is a view from the back seat of the Rocky Mountains.

My first road trip has come to a close. We got here to my dad's house around 10:00pm on friday night, May 30th. We tried to get pictures of all the signs for each state we drove through, but as it turns out we are not professional photograghers lol. So we couldn't quite get all of them but most of them we did. Missouri, Illinois adn Kansas were all pretty boring for the most part, not really much out there. We drove about 14 hrs the first day and stopped in Salina, Kansas that night at a hotel to get some rest. We left early the next morning and made it to my grandparents house in Arvada, Colorado. We stayed there for two days and they took us up into the Rocky Mountains both days. It was beautiful! Two days wasn't enough! And it was great spending time with my grandparents since I don't get to see them very often. After leaving Colorado it was New Mexico. Once we hit Arizona though...it was HOT. Our car does not have air conditioning in it, so we were pretty toasty. We stayed the night there in a hotel and slept in the next morning since Chris and I were feeling a little under the weather. We spent half a day at the Grand Canyon then headed to my dad's. I would say all in all the trip went pretty well. I'm just glad to be out of that car.

Packing...

I strongly dislike packing, I have moved several times while I was younger and frankly I'm just not a fan of the whole process. First off I have to go through all of my stuff and try to get rid of as much as possible that I either can't wear or use anymore or have lost the liking for. That's a headache in itself for me, I guess I'm weird and can't ever decide if I will need something down the road. Or if I get rid of something if I will miss it... call me a weirdo I know. This move is a little different since I'm coming back, so there are a couple extra steps added to the process. After I go through all of my things, I have to determine what clothes and items I can live without for a year to keep here (that was fun). Then I had to try and pack all of my clothes that I was taking to CA and fit them in the smallest space I possibly could to save on cost of shipping. For this we bought those space bags that suck up all the air around your clothes in the bag to save room. They actually worked pretty well. 1 LARGE bag fit 1 pair of jean pants, 1 jean jacket, 1 pair of jean capris, 1 pair of sweat pants, 2 t-shirts, 1 pair of sweat shorts and 4 camis...and I think that was it lol.So I could fit a good amount of stuff in each bag, we have extra large ones as well. So after packing up things I wanted to ship out, I had to figure out what I wanted to take in the car with me (things I didn't really trust to be shipped out) like our sand ceremony bottle, picture frames and my Willow Tree ppl. I also had to majke sure with Chris that there was room for it all in the car since we are going to be on the road for some days. Meaning we have a cooler, and three bags to fit just in teh trunk of our little civic. Oh, and I had to pack a bag for the road trip, which I wanted to be comfortable and still be able to go out in public for the Grand CAnyon and the Rocky Mountains. Plus I had no idea what the weather was going to be like. It's Saturday and we are still trying to figure everything out! We have shipped 2 boxes(my stuff) and we are getting ready to ship one more today (Chris' stuff). We still have to clean out the car and make sure everything we are taking will fit, if not I guess we will be shipping some more boxes lol. Whew! It's tiring just to write about it all !! lol. But we are getting there, I am also trying to get as many songs on my i pod that I can to keep my busy... in case I need some sound block from my husband and brother!! Haha!

The Perfect Surprise

So those of you who haven't heard me already say this, our wedding day was perfect, and those of you who have heard me say it like a hundred times... I'm sorry lol. But it was, and I have to give credit for the perfect centerpiece of the wedding to my husband.

Over the past year of planning this wedding we had to chose so many differnt things to try and make this one day the most perfect day for the both of us. So one thing we wanted was an archway to stand under for our marriage ceremony. So we found one that was perfect, it had character, it was big enough for Chris and I and the pastor to fit under, and it even had these cool little benches attached to it. As soon as Chris took me to look at it I was in love. It was at this little place that sold fencing and obviously differnt kinds of archways. I think it was around $550 and we figured that we could save up use it for the wedding, leave it with Chris' mom in her yard, then we when we moved back we would be able to have it at our own house. We thought that would be a neat memory to have in our yard. But by the time the wedding came we really didn't have the money for it. I was pretty disappointed, but I wasn't going to let that ruin our wedding day so I put it behind me and decided to be happy with what we had. So the night before the wedding at the rehersal I drove up to the house and standing there in the front yard was my perfect archway that I had honestly forgotten about. It was the perfect surprise. I loved it and was so excited to see it, but of course I immediately blurted out "what? I thought we didn't have the money for this!" Then Chris reassued me that he didn't pay the full price and that he talked the owner into letting us rent it from him. So Chris and Matt went and picked it up for the wedding then took it back on Monday. Chris amazingly got the guy to let him rent it for $150!! What a deal!! The archway turned out to be the vocal point of the ceremony of course and also of the pictures.

Back to Bloggin!

Hey I'm back! lol
So I haven't posted in so long that I forgot my log in info... that's pretty sad. Anyways I have just been so busy with the wedding stuff and my out of town family. Then we have all of those thank you cards to do and now we are working on packing and getting everything ready for the road trip to sunny Cali. We actually bought those suction air tight bags to suck up all of our clothes to help save on packing space. We even have the little travel size ones that Chris figured out that he could fit a couple under the front seats in the car. So needless to say I have not really had too much time to keep on my posting. But I'm going to try and back in the swing of things.

It'a Almost Here!

Well today is one month exactley until the wedding! 31 days! I can't beleive it. We met with Pastor Danny today to talk about the ceremony and we went to the court house and got our marriage liscense. We had to get it because we have to have it before we move to California. So we got that process going, which we were happy about... one more thing to cross off our list. Now we are starting to pack our stuff for the move, and organizing the road trip. So much work, I will be happy when everything is done and ready to go lol. But I'm almost there! And I'm getting excited to see my out of town family!

KC

I even caught him gettin cozy on my bible! lol Here he is getting busted for sleepin in my room. He is using my Tader Jo Bannana chips as a nice pillow for himself.

My mom brought home a skinny little cat one day when I was a freshman. Her friend found him around her house, she said he must had been a stray. So my mom took him into the vet and got him all checked out then brought him home. The kids were excited but my mom didn't know what to name him so for the longest time she just called him kitty cat. So we just decided to name him KC lol. I wasn't really attached to him or anything and I never let him in my room, cuz I could't stand all the cat hair...yuck! But now he has been in our family for about five years and just within the last year or so I think we have become friend lol. But he still knows not to hang out in my room. He's actually quite a character, and I have caught a few snapshots of him bein kinda cute lol. He loves the Christmas tree it's like his domain during Christmas time.
