We Made It!

Here we are in the mountains, it was pretty chilly that first day.
Rocky Mountains

This is a view from the back seat of the Rocky Mountains.

My first road trip has come to a close. We got here to my dad's house around 10:00pm on friday night, May 30th. We tried to get pictures of all the signs for each state we drove through, but as it turns out we are not professional photograghers lol. So we couldn't quite get all of them but most of them we did. Missouri, Illinois adn Kansas were all pretty boring for the most part, not really much out there. We drove about 14 hrs the first day and stopped in Salina, Kansas that night at a hotel to get some rest. We left early the next morning and made it to my grandparents house in Arvada, Colorado. We stayed there for two days and they took us up into the Rocky Mountains both days. It was beautiful! Two days wasn't enough! And it was great spending time with my grandparents since I don't get to see them very often. After leaving Colorado it was New Mexico. Once we hit Arizona though...it was HOT. Our car does not have air conditioning in it, so we were pretty toasty. We stayed the night there in a hotel and slept in the next morning since Chris and I were feeling a little under the weather. We spent half a day at the Grand Canyon then headed to my dad's. I would say all in all the trip went pretty well. I'm just glad to be out of that car.

I love traveling in the car, but after awhile, I'm anxious to get where I want to go. It is very tiring. Glad you made it okay. We all missed you guys at the family cook out. Try to keep up with your blog so we know what's going on with you. Love you.

I like to keep abreast on what is happening on the in-law side of Tam-e's family. So....I enjoy reading your blog. So glad you made it to your destination. That riding in a car with no air is a bummer. I would be ok to a certain point and then I'd be hangin' my head out the window.....or probably sleeping all the way. I hate riding in the car. AND especially when I get hot with all that motion.....I feel miserable then.....almost like having a migraine headache. Nasty. I feel for you!!!!! (That's why I like to fly....you get there in the same day.)

That part is over until you return home.

Enjoy your family and have fun while you are they.

Continue to keep us posted on your life in California! (With lots of pictures......now that's something I do like.....pictures!)

Marty: Yea actually it wasn't too bad except for the last day when I got sick with a sore throat and what felt like a sinus headache. But I layed down in the back seat and slept for a while which helped.
Stacy: Yes my dad has four bedrooms so we are on the first floor room and there is actually a bathroom connected to it, so it's really nice. There is so much to do out here you would probably really enjoy a visit!
Everyone: I will try and keep up on my blog as much as possible... and tons of pics! lol
